Les studios de la WWE sont en ce moment en préparation d'un nouveau long-métrage. Ce prochain film, encore au stade du projet, racontera les origines du personnages de l'Undertaker dans l'Amérique de 1880. Pas plus d'informations sur le sujet, à suivre donc !

La World Wrestling Entertainment où, si vous préférez la WWE, est la plus importante fédération de lutte professionnelle au monde. Avant de prendre l'appellation de la WWE, la compagnie était connue sous le nom de TitantSports, inc. elle est ensuite devenue la World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. et puis la World Wrestling Entertainment, inc. La World Wrestling Entertainment est le module principal de la compagnie et ne touche que la lutte professionnelle, la WWE en tant que fédération de lutte a déjà porté les noms de la CWF (Capitol Wrestling Federation) dans les années 50, puis de la WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation) dans les années 70, alors que dans les années 80 ce fut la WWF (World Wrestling Federation), pour finalement devenir la WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) en 2002.

La World Wrestling Entertainment, est une compagnie cotée à la bourse, cependant 70 % des actions appartiennent toujours au propriétaire et chairman Vince McMahon, à son épouse et CEO, Linda McMahon, à son fils (Vice-président exécutif de Global Media), Shane McMahon, et à sa fille (Vice-présidente de la division créative) Stephanie McMahon-Levesque, et de la façon dont c'est structuré, ils détiennent ensemble 96 % des pouvoirs votatifs. Les bureaux de la WWE sont présentement situés au 241 East Main Street, Stamford, Connecticut et ils ont des succursales à Londres, à Toronto et Los Angeles.

La WWE possède la plus grande vidéothèque de l'histoire de la lutte professionnelle. Elle fait la promotion de 3 divisions ; RAW, SmackDown! et ECW et détient 3 des 8 championnats du Monde reconnu par la Pro Wrestling Illustraded.

Le revenu de la WWE pour l'année 2006 (de mai 2005 à avril 2006) fut aux environs des 400 millions, avec un profit net approximatif de 47 millions. En date d'août 2006, la valeur de la compagnie s'élevait au-delà du milliard américain ! Ses actions sont disponible à la bourse de New York (NYSE) sous le nom de WWE.
